To ensure you experience everything great about Cairns, we have compiled a list of the top Cairns attractions you should do on your team trips getaway.

Swim in the Esplanade Lagoon

If you want to beat the heat, head to the Esplanade Lagoon, one of Cairns’ best-known landmarks. Tourists and locals flock to the 4800 sq. metre saltwater swimming lagoon year-round, set on the Cairns foreshore overlooking Trinity Inlet. On the other side of the Lagoon, visitors can lounge on the timber decks with shady trees and landscaped gardens, and you can also take a stroll down the legendary boardwalk – it’s a great leisurely day out for your team.

Discover animal presentations, habitat talks, a marine touch pool and daily shark and ray feeds while you are there. If your group is visiting by day, opt for either a Marine Life Encounter or Turtle Hospital Tour with lunch at Dundee’s Restaurant. There’s also the Aquarium By Twilight tour, where you will learn all about the nocturnal animals of the Aquarium.
